From our studio in Abuja, Nigeria, we channel expertise in filmmaking, advocacy, and storytelling to work towards an expansive vision of the human rights movement. One that embraces the cross-disciplinary spirit of the 21st Century, and brings together filmmakers, radical changemakers, artists, technologists, social scientists, and those generally fed up with the state of skewed power and injustice in the world. We envision a human rights movement that puts grassroots activists and organizations center stage; that thinks beyond usual strategies, and taps the potential of emerging technologies to create new ways of advancing human rights for all people.

 

Our work starts with video as a foundation, but incorporates many intersecting disciplines, depending on what the case or campaign demands. We partner with activists and organizations to develop a customized approach to video and emerging media technologies that addresses the specific human rights challenges they’re fighting. We’ve worked to break through false narratives created by state-sponsored media in order change public perceptions and opinions; we’ve developed specially designed narratives that cultivate new ways of seeing hotly contested issues, like child marriage; we’ve created films that act as courtroom evidence against multinational corporations.

 

We know that telling stories in a vacuum doesn’t bring change, so to achieve impact, we’ll work with you to create narratives designed to resonate with a specific target audience, policymaker, rural community, or subset of the general public. We want you to walk away from our collaboration with a better understanding of how video, multimedia storytelling, target audiences, and sophisticated distribution plans can be used strategically to accomplish advocacy goals.
